LINPAC Packaging supporting young rugby players

LINPAC Packaging is to be the Principal Partner of Featherstone Rovers' Under 16’s Academy side in 2013.
The commercial partnership will see LINPAC Packaging adorn the front of the Academy side playing shirt next season.
The partnership was exclusively announced  at the Big Fellas Stadium when the club arranged a special Academy Under 16’s Launch Dinner for the players and their parents. Featherstone Rovers Head Coach Daryl Powell was Keynote Speaker and outlined the history of the club, the progress the club is making both on and off the field and the vision for the future.
The club also announced that the Academy would also have five ambassadors to support the Academy. The five ambassadors are Club Captain Stuart Dickens, Vice-Captain Liam Finn, First team centre Sam Smeaton, former player and Super League Young Player of the Year Zak Hardaker of Leeds Rhinos and Featherstone Rovers Chairman Mark Campbell.
In August Featherstone Rovers announced that LINPAC Packaging was returning as a Commercial Partner in 2013 and the club are very proud that the partnership has been strengthened further.
Featherstone Rovers Commercial Manager Paul Taylor said “It’s fantastic news that LINPAC Packaging have agreed to be the Principal Partner of Under 16’s Academy. Our youth development pathway is essentially self-financed so this sponsorship is vital to its sustainability. LINPAC Packaging is an iconic brand in the world of rugby league sponsorship and it will be great for the lads to have LINPAC Packaging on the front of their shirt. The club would like to place on record again its thanks to Graeme Robinson and LINPAC Packaging for their support of Featherstone Rovers and we look forward to working together in 2013.”
LINPAC Packaging UK Vice President and General Manager Graeme Robinson said “Our partnership with the Under 16’s team reinforces our support for Featherstone Rovers after recently becoming a commercial partner of the club. We are proud to be associated with a club which reinforced our LINPAC values of investment, support for the future and the Featherstone community.  Featherstone Rovers has a long and distinguished history and which is so well supported by local people. As a major employer in the area, many of our people are fans of the team or have relatives involved in the club in some way. We are really pleased to be able to support the club and the U16’s academy and play a part in encouraging more young people to become involved in the sport.”
Featherstone Rovers Chief Executive Craig Poskitt said “We are absolutely delighted that LINPAC Packaging have increased their involvement with the club. In the past couple of months we have shown LINPAC Packaging how we operate, so for LINPAC Packaging to agree to become the Principle Partner of our Academy is testament to the off-field team we have at the club. Our academy set up, which in my opinion, is already Super League standard will benefit greatly from LINPAC’s investment as we strive to produce yet more England internationals like Zak Hardaker. The progress the club is making will ensure that players like Zak will hopefully be pulling an England shirt on while representing Featherstone Rovers. We look forward to working with Graeme and his team next year.”
