LINPAC Packaging’s Food Service Manager received the top award at the recent Foodservice Packaging Association’s award ceremony recognising the work he has done in the industry for over 30 years.

David Marshall, who has worked at LINPAC Packaging for 36 years, took home the Chairman’s Award for his outstanding contribution, dedication and support to the food service packaging industry.

David said: “It’s a real honour to be given such an award. I’ve worked in this business for many years so I am proud to receive such a prestigious award recognising my contribution from my peers in the industry. The FPA Awards are a great way to reward hardworking people in the industry and something I look forward to attending each year.”

David went on to praise the work and commitment from the people that have worked within his teams over these years and is a firm believer that it is the team ethos that gets rewarded with success.
He said: “With the challenging times we are both facing, customer and supplier relationships are more important than ever especially in the areas or economic and environmental sustainability.  It is vital that these relationships continue to grow and partnerships thrive to provide the best service to our industry.”

The  FPA Awards night proved everyone’s a winner with almost 400 attending the ceremony and dinner at Manchester’s historic Midland Hotel – the largest ever FPA Awards event.

Retiring Chairman Greg Fitchett said: “Each award was highly contested and judging was tough. The Charity Raffle raised over £4,000 for industry charities Hospitality Action and Springboard.”

Incoming Chairman Neil Whittall added: “The FPA is a thriving, relevant association offering real value to its members. We are looking forward to continuing the FPA’s strong growth.
