Featherstone Rovers plays on at the Big Fellas Stadium

Featherstone Rovers are delighted to announce that Post Office Road will still be called The Big Fellas Stadium throughout 2014. Big Fellas Nightclub in Pontefract first sponsored the naming rights to Post Office Road in 2009 with owner Tony Lumb becoming a director of Featherstone Rovers in 2012.
As a company, whose global head office is in Featherstone, LINPAC is committed to supporting many initiatives in and around the town.
The LINPAC name first appeared on the Featherstone Rovers shirt in 1981/1982 in the first ever shirt sponsorship deal in Rugby League and we were the main sponsor of the club until 1989.
We returned as a commercial partner in 2013 and appeared on the shorts but in a return to the iconic playing kits of the 1980’s the LINPAC logo will again adorn the front of the Rovers shirt.
Both Rovers and LINPAC share a passionate commitment to the success and development of the local area and we are deeply involved in the team’s charitable foundation – we’re all looking forward to the 2014 season with great anticipation.
On the Big Fellas stadium, Featherstone Rovers Chief Executive Craig Poskitt said: “This is the fifth consecutive year that the Post Office Road will be called the Big Fellas Stadium. The naming rights to our famous stadium is one of the key assets in our commercial portfolio and it is important there is longevity in such partnerships.
“2014 will be an important year for the Big Fellas Stadium with the redevelopment of the Railway End taking shape due to the hard work and dedication of our volunteers, can I also put on record my thanks for Tony’s input as a director of the club. We have a successful business model and a Board of Directors who support the club, Tony is an integral part of this.”
Featherstone Rovers director and owner of Big Fellas Nightclub Tony Lumb said: “The new structures and the opportunity of gaining Super League status is a massive boost commercially for the club. I am extremely excited for the future of Featherstone Rovers and aligning the Big Fellas brand is a privilege. I look forward to a continued lengthy association with the club both as a sponsor and a director.”
